Shoving Leopard Farm

Shoving Leopard Farm is a Certified Naturally Grown 2-acre cut flower farm Hudson Valley of NY, overlooking the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains beyond. We grow cut flowers for our CSA members, for local farm stands, and for regional florists and designers. The permanent beds are designed around the pick-your-own flower labyrinth in the center of the farm. We don't use any chemical fertilizers or pesticides, but rely on OMRI certified fertilizers, cover crops, well-finished compost, and compost tea and fish emulsion applications for fertility. We use crop rotation, vegetative barriers, soap, garlic, and pepper sprays, chicken detail, pheromone traps and manual squishing for pest-control. By improving soil tilth and mineralization, increasing organic matter, and promoting biodiversity in the soil and in the crops, we aim to create an environment that allows for a sustainable production of healthy and abundant crops. We are committed to providing the highest quality product to our local community, while promoting environmentally and socially sustainable practices.
